The Bus Ride Chronicles
Make Room Kids Edition: The Bus Ride Chronicles is a collection of stories about three friends who are just like us – kids who live in South Africa, who are growing up in a diverse country, with each of them having different experiences and challenges. Although they are all friends and at the same school, their unique contexts, communities, family environments and understandings shape and impact their experiences and challenges.
This book is designed to be a resource for kids, ages 10-13 years, as they navigate living in their contexts – their own backgrounds, communities, and frames of reference. This book is also designed to be a tool for parents, grandparents, guardians, and Kids Church leaders who are called to guide and lead them.
Using the tools of Ask, Think, and Pray, our hope is that you will be able to prompt and enable conversations that build and restore, develop resilience in our kids, and take the Bible beyond just information into practical equipping and application of God’s words and Jesus’ actions.
